Missionary of the Month
Our missionary of the month is Faith Baptist Bible College. Pray for wisdom for the administration, faculty and staff, for students who are prepared for a life of faithful service all over the globe, and for God’s provision for ongoing financial needs.

Mission of Jesus
During the month of August, the Adult Bible Fellowship meeting in the Family Life Center will enjoy a video series called the Mission of Jesus.

The Huddle
This retired guys’ breakfast meets the second Friday of each month at 9 am at the Ankeny Diner for food and fellowship.

IARBC Singles Game Night
Join other singles from area churches for this monthly gathering at Community Baptist Church to enjoy games, friendships, and food. Bring a food item to share.

Communion
Join us for Communion during the Community Service on August 10 as we celebrate together the redemption provided for us through our Lord’s sacrificial death and resurrection.

Baptism
We have a baptism scheduled for Sunday, August 17, during the Extended Worship Service. There will be a Baptism Class on Sunday, August 10. Contact Pastor Shon if you are interested in participating.

Men's REVIVE
The IARBC Men’s Retreat hosted at the Iowa Regular Baptist Camp will be August 22-23. The speaker this year is Terry Thompson. This is a great time for men to come together and be challenged from God's Word while enjoying fellowship on the beautiful North Shore of Clear Lake.

End of Summer Cookout
Join us for an End of Summer Cookout at Big Creek State Park as we conclude our summer core group ministry. We will meet at 5:30 pm at Beach Shelter #2. Bring a side or dessert to share and your own drinks.

Frontline Clubs Ministry
Frontline is our Wednesday night children’s ministry which meets at 6:45pm September through April while our adult Journey groups are meeting.

Journey Group - Stewardship
This adult Journey group will be meeting on Wednesday nights from 7-8 pm from September through December. We will be discussing strategic stewardship as it relates to our families, our money, and our own souls.

Journey Group - Philippians
Our fall Journey Groups meet on Wednesday evenings from 7-8:00 pm during the months of September through December. This Journey Elective will explore the book of Philippians with Dr. Alan Cole in the ABF rooms.

Starting Point Class
The Starting Point class is designed for those considering joining the membership of Community Baptist Church. This class will be meeting in the Fireside Room every Sunday at 9 am during the month of September.

Community Connect September
The month of September will include name tag Sundays along with weekly initiatives to encourage church unity and purposeful connections.

The Psalms
During the months of September through November, Pastor Mark will be continuing the study of the Psalms during the Adult Bible Fellowship hour. This class meets on Sundays at 9 am in the Family Life Center.

VBS - Ocean Commotion
We're gearing up for our Ocean Commotion VBS. Dates are July 20-23 and we meet in the evenings. We would love for you to come dive into Noah's flood with us.

Missionary of the Month
Our Missionary of the Month for July is the Iowa Regular Baptist Camp in Ventura, Iowa. Pray for God to be at work transforming lives for His glory and bringing many to saving knowledge of Him.

Extended Worship Service
On this final Sunday in June, we will enjoy an Extended Worship Service together, hearing a message from Sawyer Gogerty as well as testimonies from those participating in Junior Girls Camp.

Carl Kerby - Reasons for Hope
On Sunday, June 22nd, we will be hearing from Carl Kerby with Reasons for Hope at 9 am during our discipleship hour and again in our extended worship service at 10 am.

Father's Day
On Sunday, June 15, we will honor our fathers. During the Extended Worship Service, we will hear from Joey Young and also hear testimonies from the Youth Group about their retreat trip which runs from June 7-13

Summer Special Speakers
We will have several guest speakers in June and those will be extended worship services. We will also be hearing testimonies in these services from the Youth Trip and from Junior Boys and Jr. Girls Camp. On July 6 the Gonnermans who are our missionaries to Japan will be with us and Andrew will be speaking.

Guest Missionary
We will have a guest missionary presenting during the Community Service on June 8. A love offering will be collected. Designate your gift and place in the offering boxes.

Promotion Sunday
June 1 is Promotion Sunday where our children move up to the next grade level Sunday School class. Please note that everyone will begin in the FLC and then be dismissed to their classes at 9:15.

Gen2Gen Series
We love connecting different generations. During our Community Service, we will have a guest speaker share some timely advice.

Parent & Child Dedication
Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 11. During the Extended Worship Service, we’ll have a Parent & Child Dedication. If you would like to particpate, please contact the church office.

Men’s Gym Night
Men of all ages are invited to meet at the local Bible college for a night of fun. We’ll enjoy some pizza, pickleball, basketball, and great fellowship. Grab your shorts & tshirt and meet us at the gym.

Grad Recognition
We are celebrating with our high school, college & grad school graduates this Sunday. We have an Extended Worship Service planned as we recognize our students together.

Join us for Easter!!!
Easter Sunday is April 20th this year. This is one of our great celebrations of the year as we remember the miraculous resurrection of Jesus from the dead. What a Savior!! Come early at 9am for warm cinnamon rolls, family photo booth, and fellowship. The Extended Worship Service will start at 10am.

Good Friday Seder Service
We’re departing from our normal Good Friday Service to participate in a Seder Meal together. This interactive time will help you see how the Passover points to Jesus Christ. Limited seating is available for this event. RSVP at CBCankeny@gmail.com.

Easter Sunday
Join us on Easter Sunday, April 20, to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We’ve modified our regular schedule to emphasize the importance of this truth to our faith. Come around 9am for family photos, warm cinnamon rolls, and fellowship. Stay for the 10am Extended Worship Service.

Ladies Game Night
It’s a game night…but only for the ladies!! Bring your favorite game(s) and snack to share. Plan for lots of laughter and a night filled with fun. See Elizabeth Snyder for details.

Name Tag Sundays: March Edition
We have another month of Name Tag Sundays planned for March. You can help us out by grabbing a name tag as you enter the building each Sunday. This is a great way to connect faces with names in our growing church.

nextGEN Series
Young men from our church will share a 10-15 minute Bible challenge followed by small group discussion. Stay for these encouraging Community Services as hear timeless truths from the next generation.

Boone & Scenic Valley Railroad
A fun-filled afternoon is planned for this November Saturday. We’ll meet in Boone for a train ride, scenic views, and a time of fellowship.
