Join us on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am as Pastor Shon leads us in our study of 2 Samuel, encouraging us to seek for hearts that are after God’s own heart.
Psalms
Pastor Mark will resume the study of the Psalms in the Family Life Center at 9:00am in July and will continue through the end of November. He will be picking up in Book 4 which covers Psalm 90-106.
FrontLine Children's Ministry
Frontline is a Scripture based children’s program for ages 2 years-6th grade meeting at the church at 6:45pm on Wednesdays during the school year, at the same time that the adult Journey Groups are happening.
Journey Groups - Before the Throne
Our Journey Groups this fall are dedicated to an emphasis on prayer. The men are meeting in the Fireside Room and the women in the ABF rooms at 7:00pm.
Imago Dei - November ABF
During the month of November, Jacob Wood will be teaching an ABF class on man as God’s crowning creation. You are invited to join him in the Fireside Room at 9am.
Testimony Service
If you are not involved in the Musicians Meeting during the Community Service on November 8, you are invited to join us in the Family Life Center for a Testimony Service.
Musicians Meeting
There will be a music ministry meeting on November 8 during the Community Service in the ABF rooms. If you currently sing as an accompanying vocalist, play an instrument, play piano in the music ministry team, or you are interested in serving in one of these ways on Sunday morning, you are invited to take part in this meeting.
Special Speaker - Mark Davis
Join us this Sunday for an Extended Worship Service. Mark Davis will be speaking, and we will be hearing a couple of salvation testimonies.
Blind Date With a Book
Ladies from the 4th Quarter and Overtime and Primetimer groups are invited to a time of fellowship and book discussion in this Blind Date with a Book event. Sign up on the resource table in the foyer to attend.
Third Quarter Members' Meeting
We will have our Third Quarter Members’ Meeting on Sunday, October 11, during the Community Service which will include among other things a financial report and a building committee report.
Missionary Presentation
During the Community Service on September 27, Barry and Ellen Farlow will be presenting their ministry of leadership training and church planting in South Brazil.
Ladies' Bible Study
This will be more of a workshop style Bible study, working through the text together and discussing what we learn. You will need a pen and a set of 12 colored pencils. A printed copy of the book of Colossians will be provided for markup.
Pastor's Porch
Our pastors are hosting some Sunday night fellowship times in their homes during September and October. There are 4 dates to choose from (September 20, 27, October 4, 11). There are sign-ups in the church foyer for these fellowships.
Young Adults Game Night
Are you looking to meet other single adults and make new friends? Enjoy playing games and fellowshipping? Bring a food item to share and join the fun and games at CBC this Saturday, September 12, at 6pm.
Communion
Join us for the Community Service on September 6 as we celebrate together the death and resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ, remembering the price He paid for our redemption and looking forward to His coming again!
Name Tag Sunday
Remember to grab a name tag from the kiosk on your way in this Sunday. This has been a great way to stay refreshed on names we tend to forget and meet people we don't yet know.

Young Families ABF
During the month of September, the Young Families class will be meeting in the Fireside Room at 9am to discuss Navigating the Algorithms with Joshua Huang.
Family Ministries Night
Our Fall Family Ministries Night will resume on September 2. This includes the children’s Frontline Ministry, Youth Group, and College Equip Group all starting at 6:45 pm. In addition, the Adult Journey Groups meet at 7:00 pm in the Fireside and ABF rooms.
Frontline
On September 2 our Wednesday night FrontLine ministry for kids will resume at 6:45 here at the church. This is for kids from age 2-6th grade. Use the QR code to register.
Missions Trip Reports
Stay for the Community Service on August 30 to hear reports from members who have returned from summer missions trips.
Young Adults Cookout
Join other Christian Young Adults for a time of fellowship and food around a fire.
End of Summer Cookout
Join us for the End of Summer Cookout at Big Creek State Park on Wednesday, August 26, at 5:30pm. This will mark the end of our summer Core Group meetings as Journey Groups resume the following week. Bring a side or dessert to share and your own drinks.
Missionary Presentation
Our supported missionaries to Argentina, Andrew and Romina Self, will be with us on Sunday, August 16. They will share their missions presentation during the Community Service that day.
Communion
We will be celebrating the Lord's Supper during the Community Service on August 9. Come with your hearts prepared as together we remember the sacrifice of our Savior and look forward to His return for us.
Name Tag Sunday
August 2 is a Name Tag Sunday. Be sure to grab your tag at the kiosk on the way in. Be intentional about meeting someone you don't yet know. It's a great way to refresh your memory on names you tend to forget.
Members Meeting
Our Quarterly Members Meeting will be held on July 12 during the Community Service. All members are encouraged to attend.
Countering Islam
During the months of July and August, Dan Schopf will be teaching a class at 9:00am in the ABF rooms, dealing with answers for common Muslim objections to Christianity.
VBS
VBS Registration is open for children 4 years - 5th grade and will be June 28-July 1 from 6:00-8:15pm. The theme is Emerald Crossing and is based on Psalm 23. Scan the QR Code in the image to register your children.
Ladies Blind Date with a Book
All Primetimer (empty nesters) and 4th Quarter/OverTime (retired) ladies are invited to join us at the church at 10am for this time of fellowship and book discussion. There is no cost to participate.
Men's Grill Out
Men and boys of all ages are invited for a grill out at the church on June 26. This will be come and go from 5:30-7:30pm. Use the QR code on the image to sign up.
Parent Child Dedication
On Father’s Day we will enjoy an Extended Worship Service with a special message for fathers and a Parent Child Dedication. We thank the Lord for the many young families who are part of our Community family.
Young Adults Game Night
Young Adults College Age and Up are invited to join other Christian singles for this monthly gathering for fellowship and games. Meet at the church at 6:00pm.
The Huddle
The Huddle retired guys are meeting at 9:00am at a new location. Breakfast and fellowship will be at It's My Jam Cafe located at 7015 NE Ankeny Blvd in Ankeny. This is one mile south of Oralabor Rd on Ankeny Blvd.
Communion
During the Community Service on June 7, we will be fellowshipping around the Lord's Table. Prepare your hearts ahead of time as we come together to remember what Jesus did for us on the cross.
Contentment - June ABF
The Adult Bible Fellowship hour during the month of June will be taught by Caleb Eloe in the Family Life Center. The topic will be Contentment, emphasizing our sufficiency in Christ.
Promotion Sunday
Promotion Sunday will be June 7. All ages will meet in the Family Life Center at 9:00am and will be dismissed to their new classrooms at 9:15am.
