Frontline Clubs Ministry
Frontline is our Wednesday night children’s ministry which meets at 6:45pm September through April while our adult Journey groups are meeting.
Men's Journey Group
Our Wednesday night Journey Groups will resume on January 7, and the men’s group will be led by Pastor Shon in a series called Warning: The Cost of Complacency. This class will meet in the Fireside Room.
Women's Journey Group
The new Journey Groups begin on Wednesday night, January 7, at 7:00 pm. The women will be doing a study called Seeking Him. They will meet in the ABF rooms and will be led by Jen Gogerty and Angela Lundberg.
Young Families ABF
The Young Families Adult Bible Fellowship is meeting at 9:00AM on Sundays in the ABF rooms during the months of February - April. They are sharing together from the devotional Morning and Evening by C.H. Spurgeon.
Psalms
Pastor Mark continues his study of the Psalms during our Adult Bible Fellowship hour at 9:00 AM on Sundays, helping us dig deeper into the organization and application of the Psalms to our daily lives.
After God's Own Heart
Join us on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am as Pastor Shon leads us in our study of 2 Samuel, encouraging us to seek for hearts that are after God’s own heart.
Gen2Gen Series
Psalm 145:4 says "one generation shall commend Your works to another." Our Gen2Gen mini-series is designed to do that. Each speaker will share a short challenge during the Community Services on March 15, 22, and 29. The challenges will be followed by discussion groups.
Good Friday Service
Our Good Friday Service will include Scripture, prayer, singing, and communion as we reflect on Christ's suffering and death. Join us in this time of heart preparation for the joy of Easter as we corporately remember the price that was paid for our redemption.
Easter Sunday
Celebrate the joy and hope of the resurrection with us this Easter. Invite a neighbor or friend to join you as we worship the risen Savior and rejoice in the victory over sin and death.
Regular Discipleship Hour ministries will be suspended for a time of fellowship, family photos, and cinnamon rolls at 9am. Then stay for the uplifting Extended Worship Service that follows at 10am.
Name Tag Sunday
On the first Sunday of each month in 2026, we are wearing name tags in order to encourage us in connecting names with faces. Be sure to pick yours up when you enter the building.
Hymn Sing
During the Community Service on February 15, we will enjoy a Hymn Sing. Come prepared to request a favorite hymn that we can sing together.
Superb Owl Parties
On Sunday night, February 8, our Core Groups will meet for fellowship and fun. You can see your Core Group leader for details.
Communion
During the Community Service, we will be celebrating together what the Lord did for us when He gave His life to redeem us. At the same time, we look forward to the day when He will come again!
Name Tag Sunday
This year on the first Sunday of the month, we are wearing name tags to help us connect names with faces. So grab a name tag when you enter and help us build community one name tag at a time!
Members Meeting
During the Community Service on January 18, we will have our first Members Meeting of the year. This will include the end of the year financial report.
Communion
We will be sharing together in the Lord’s Table on January 11th in our Community Service at 11:20 am. We will remember our Savior’s death for us and look forward to the day when He will come again!
IARBC Singles Game Night
Anyone college age and up is invited to be a part of this night of games and fellowship. This group meets monthly on the second Saturday of the month. Plan to bring a food item to share and join other singles for a fun time this Saturday, January 10, at 6:00 pm.
The Huddle
The Huddle is a time for retired guys to gather for breakfast and fellowship at The Ankeny Diner at 9:00 am on the second Friday of each month. The next meeting is January 9.
Baby Bottle Boomerang
During the month of January, we will be participating in a fundraiser for Alpha Women’s Center. Grab a baby bottle in the foyer, fill it with money and return the bottle to church no later than February 4th.
Christmas Caroling
On Saturday, December 20, at 4:00 pm, we will meet to go caroling at the homes of several of our members. Sign up at the Resource Table if you would like to participate.
Christmas Open House
You are invited to the Christmas Open House hosted by our pastors and wives on December 7 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the church building.
December Schedule
We would love to have you join us at 10:00 am on Sundays for worship this Christmas season. During the month of December, we do not have our usual Discipleship Hour.
Christmas Program
We hope you will be able to attend our Christmas Program on December 7 at 10:00 am. The Mystery of the Magi will celebrate the great truths of Christmas with music and drama.
Carols and Lights
Join us for this Carols and Lights Community Service as we celebrate the start of the Christmas season.
No Wednesday Ministries
We will not have our normal Wednesday ministries on the 26th in order that you might enjoy the Thanksgiving Holiday with your family and friends. Enjoy!
Thanksgiving Offering
How would God have you contribute to our Thanksgiving Offering? Please be in prayer about how God would have you give. Our goal is to raise $30,000. All funds will go to the Building Fund.
Thanksgiving Service
Join us on November 23rd at 10:00 am for our Thanksgiving Service during the extended worship service.
Canticum Novum Fall Concert
CBC is hosting the fall concert this year. Several musicians from our congregation are part of this ministry. Plan to attend, invite a neighbor or friend, and be blessed!

Baptism
We will be enjoying another Baptism Sunday on October 26 during our extended worship service at 10:00 am. Email the church if you are interested in participating.
Ladies' Smores Event
Ladies, you are invited to enjoy an evening of fellowship and smores in the Snyders’ backyard on October 18 at 6:30 pm. Bring a lawn chair and a snack or S’more’s ingredient to share. Sign up at the welcome table in the church foyer.

Ladies’ Fall Share and Prayer
Ladies, you are invited to join us for an informal fellowship time of sharing and praying together at the Lounsbrough home on three Thursdays this fall, October 2, 23, and November 6 from 9:00-11:00 am. Kids are welcome, and you are free to come and go as you like.
Men’s Grill Out
Invite someone to join you at the Men’s Grill Out on September 19, at 6 pm at the church. Meat, chips, and beans will be provided; bring your own beverage.
Communion
Join us in the Community Service on Sunday, September 7, as we remember together our Savior’s sacrificial death on our behalf and look forward to His second coming!
The Psalms
During the months of September through November, Pastor Mark will be continuing the study of the Psalms during the Adult Bible Fellowship hour. This class meets on Sundays at 9 am in the Family Life Center.
